How to use TEAM™ IE?

The user can create flows and modules using the usual TEAM™ interface. This, besides user-friendliness aspects for data capture (e.g., search engine for flows and modules, buttons, copy-paste facilities), allows to respect the DEAM™ database format, the nomenclature of flows and to fill in their information fields.

What is the difference with data capture in a common office tool (spreadsheet, word processing). What are the advantages comparing to the use of such a common application?

In the past, when data where collected by suppliers which did not own a TEAM™ standard licence, these data had to be collected with spreadsheets or word processors and captured once again afterwards in TEAM™. So data had to be captured twice, which represents a waste of time and an increased risk of errors. With TEAM™ IE there is only one data capture, thus a saving of time and fewer risks to make mistakes since capturing data is minimized. The LCA practitioner focuses on data validation. It conveys a kind of quality insurance which makes discussion and information exchanges easier (the same file is used by generators and users of inventory data) as well as the updates (e.g.,: during the years following the initial data collection, the information update can be sent very quickly)
